Everyone has a handful of parents they look at and say, 'They did a great job with their kids.' They're the kind of parents you look to for advice with your own children. Jim and Suzette Brawner are 'look at' and 'look to' parents in my book. They've taken the different personalities in their family and blended them into a closely knit team. With their insights and wisdom, you can do the same with your family! -- John Trent, Ph.D., author, speaker, and president of Encouraging WordsI immediately related to this book because I've often thought that at times my own family-four daughters and two adults who often feel (and act) like kids-resembled a zoo. Authors Jim and Suzette Brawner masterfully carry that metaphor throughout this book as they show readers how to better understand and deal with both themselves and their children in the family setting. This is a good selection for parents, but I found that it also helped our family read it together. I think many other families will enjoy and benefit from it as we did. -- Dennis L. Peterson, Provident Book Finder, January/February 1999I've lived next door to the Brawner family zoo for fifteen years. Their three children are the best parented young adults I know. This book can make my kids and your kids more like theirs, so let's order a case and read them until the writing comes off the page and then drive up and down the streets of our neighborhoods giving them to every parent we meet! -- Joe White, president, Kanakuk-Kanakomo Kamps, Inc.About the AuthorSuzette Brawner is a speaker for corporate, civic, education and church events across the country. Jim is the community educator for Cox Medical Systems and is also an event speaker. Both are frequent radio guests and contributors for various magazines. The Brawners are the parents of two sons and a daughter and are enjoying an ever-growing posse of grandkids. what are the best products to dropship TAMING THE FAMILY ZOO

They have done such an incredible job with their own children so much so that, I, now being a grown woman with children of my own, have seeked their wisdom on how it's done. All of their children are happy, successful, well-adjusted individuals who treat others with kindness, decency and respect and know what it means to earn respect, as well. My hat's off to the Brawners and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever looked at another family and thought "gosh, how did those parents do that?...I'd love to have the tools to parent like them and turn out those kind of boys/girls, men/women!" A definite MUST-read for all parents who care about understanding their children and how to communicate with them in a way they can understand and GET RESULTS!!!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great insight on family dynamicsBy Jan WI used this cleverly written material to supplement a study on the ways we communicate and "miscommunicate" in our families. Excellent insight... Highly recommend!
