Any parent who has a child they couldn't "save" from self destructing will understand what she went through. She had a mother's greatest hope and fear. Wanting her child to be happy and successful and the fear that no matter what she did, her son was determined to ruin his life. There were glimpses he'd learned his lesson and was turning his life around, only to dash to the ground once more the tentative hope he'd be okay this time. Decades of pain only a parent can feel when there is nothing they can do for their child, now a man. But no matter what, he always knew she loved him. She has never given up hope. This is an excellent first book and I hope it's not the last.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Mother's love and painBy Linda NathanMy husband and I camped next to Sharron Grodzinsky and her husband in Talkeetna, Alaska. We exchanged information and I discovered that she was an author. I bought the Kindle version of her book and couldn't put it down. It is the very well written true story of a mother's anguish when her son goes to prison. In a revealing and heartfelt manner Sharon talks about the pain and suffering that is experienced by the families of prison inmates. It is also the story of enduring hope and a mother's constant love.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. An Eye Opener....AD. June 6 2015By Angela DonovanCompelling read. A mother's anguish seeing her son continue to go downhill time and time again, and with only a mother's love continue to support him. Most of us do not face, nor want to face, nor give any thought to what happens to those "bad"people once convicted. Here is compelling true story of what happens to them and their families. It can't have been easy to write.
