By framework, I mean that the author describes general strategies rather than specifics. First, the author examines the reasons why people are difficult, next he lists possible strategies of how to deal with them. Some of the strategies are ignore them, validate them, bond with them, influence them, downplay them. After the introduction of the strategies, the author examines each type of difficult person and the action plan specific to complainers, "yes" man, indecisive people, slacker and so forth. This is a pretty short book but I thought the framework the author builds for dealing with difficult people was useful.Ali Julia review2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Very helpfulBy jasonI believe that everyone has met people with bad personalities. It is easy to cut them off, but you do not always have the option. I personally have to deal with difficult people at work and before reading this book i felt lost. This read is incredibly helpful for people who have similar issues with me. I took some of the authors advice, and the results were surprisingly amazing! This read is easy to follow, straight to the point and generates valuable information.I would recommend it to anyone who has to deal with difficult characters and cannot avoid Them.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A Must-Buy!By Little LissyFirst off, let me say that the cover is great! Let's be honest.....at some point, you have (at the very least) thought that sentence when someone was being an absolute jerk to you. I'm not saying I'm a saint, but I have the tendency to be too nice. People take advantage of me and push me around a lot because they think I won't say anything....which is completely true. However, I'm left ranting and crying in my car after work. This book changed that. I now know how to deal with my boss and my co-workers when they start acting like turds. An absolute necessity for people like me! THANK YOU!
