Waste of time if you aren't into energy healing and psychic mumbo jumboBy EHI bought this book because I thought it would offer practical advice about dealing with toxic relationships. I was wrong. This book starts off with a vignette about a woman who has a dream that her boyfriend has been cheating on her. She happens to spot her boyfriend's car parked in an unfamiliar driveway. The woman knocks on the door and sees the scene from her dream. This all happened because the woman had a toxic psychic cord attaching her to her boyfriend. Okkkkayyyy.I really just wanted to know how I could have healthier relationships and stop getting involved in emotionally draining friendships. This book did not offer the guidance I was looking for. It is mostly made up of bizarre stories about psychic connections.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. in that it is nice to know I wasn't alone in my experiencesBy M. MasonBook definitely uses metaphysical and psychic terminology to describe feelings and emotions many of us experience if we have had a traumatic experience or interaction. I found some of the solutions and stories to be helpful, in that it is nice to know I wasn't alone in my experiences. I do find the metaphysical aspects and lack of any real solutions to healing from trauma to be irritating. Like many books of this sort, you are left to figure out your own solutions or steps to take to heal. Disappointing, considering many of us are looking for active steps to take- thus the purpose of reading 200+ pages in the first place.Pros:Nice stories to relate to and to feel less isolated and alone, especially if you are a person that relates to psychic phenomenon or explanations of human experiences.Cons:If you aren't into metaphysical experiences this isn't for you. Also lacks any common sense, or metaphysical steps to take to heal from any traumatic experiences you may have dealt with.
