1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. mostly common sense...By ChristynI personally found this book to be common sense. Like seriously. Had my mother peruse and she felt the same. Like if you find yourself getting angry do not react physically, do not grab or strike your child (not a quote just from memory) just know it is okay to walk away and breath for a moment. Granted some parents may need that reminder but if you are a self-aware parent I would not recommend this book to you.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. fabulous! I think all parents should have to read this!!!By trulyDo yourself a favor and your children and families... You will have less guilt, your children will be so happy, confident and whole and your parents, the children's grandparents won't have to pray as much and hold their breath or constantly think of ways to get a message to you without alienating you..... Honestly...great information ... I wish I had this when I was raising my children...I was so busy, I did things like everyone else...automatically and never thought things out as far as the repercussions or consequences of MY behavior! I learned from how my parents raised us so some things were stuck there and others I consciously said.... I don't want to do that, etc yet I didn't have the end result of how it shapes my children..... this book is so vital for parents to read and to understand and to implement with a positive happy personality... Love those babies and children as they came to you as a gift!!! They are precious!! ( I think I did okay and was certainly there for my children yet I could've been so much more knowledgeable and calm!) A must read!!!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Very practical for the most part!.By Mary MesserlyThis book is loaded with very useful and effective ways to manage behavior problems. The struggles are fewer, and lower level, and no one feels bullied at the end. I never have to use, "because I am the MOMMY, that's why!"
