If you are concerned about the emotional aspects of breastfeeding than this book is for you. If you are looking for hard facts, how-tos, and scientifically supported information... then I would look somewhere else. Obviously, the overall message from this book is pro-breastfeeding but there is also an underlying note in basically every chapter preparing you for an onslaught of skepticism and judgement for choosing to breastfeed and for choosing to do so 1 year of babies life. I get it, not every person in your life is going to agree with your parenting choices but the emphasis that this book places on this aspect of the breastfeeding process left me feeling "oh great" rather than "yes! I feel prepared."Also, as a non-content related comment, I read most of this book using my i-phone and there were many "side-note" sections in this book that were presented in gray boxes as opposed to the regular font. For all of these sections the font is ridiculously small and almost impossible to read. It might be different on other devices but towards the end of the book i wasn't even bothering to read these sections because of how difficult it was to see.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The BEST breastfeeding book out there!By CustomerThis is the BEST breastfeeding book out there. Hands down! It got me through 13 months of breastfeeding with my child. It is so straight forward and easy to read. Really just love it! I think a lot of people and books can complicate breastfeeding and this book won't let you.
