It would have made life a lot easier to know we were all going through the same tough times. And it brings back so many memories. Keep writing! It doesn't ever get easy but if you can find the humor in life it helps a lot. I loved every page. Looking forward to the second edition already.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Hilarious read!By Autumn Fallen Over Book ReviewsI actually heard about this book in one of my groups on facebook. And when I saw the title I knew I had to go and see the hype. As I was looking about on who all the authors were I knew at least two of the blogs The divine Secrets of a Domestic Diva and Rants From Mommyland. I knew that them two automatically had to be funny. So I went ahead bought the book and dove right into it. From the beginning I literally was laughing so hard that I had to stop reading. I would repeat the story to my husband and he would just be like oh okay. I found a majority of the stories hilarious, I could relate to some of them in one way or another. Now there were a few of the stories being told that I just was like umm what? I didn't get entertained, I felt that maybe the book could have done without a few. I think in total it was like 3 or 4 that I didn't enjoy. But hey to each their own.I really liked where it was said that it takes a village to raise a child especially with humor. And I have learned as a mother that it does and you have to have humor with raising children or you will go crazy and want to curl up and cry,If you need a short pick me up a laugh from other moms. Then I suggest you get this book. I will be recommending this book to a lot of my mother friends.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. SO FUNNY!!By SarahReadsTooMuchOK, Moms, be honest. How many times have you uttered the words "I just want to pee alone", probably with an exasperated sigh? It's okay. You can admit it. I've been there. I, myself, have been known to take some extra-long showers just to have a some time to myself. This is my reality as a mom. In fact, this book is full of short stories written by mothers who are openly talking about some of the dirtier truths of motherhood. And you know what? They are funny. Really funny. And I don't know about you, but I can always use a bit of funny in my life.Books by bloggers is one of the latest trends in the publishing business. There have been many very successful books borne from a blog or other social media in recent history. You can check out Sh*t my Dad says by Justin Haplern, Let's Pretend This Didn't Happen by Jenny Lawson, PostSecret, among many others as examples. The difference here, though, is that this is a compilation of over 35 respected "mom bloggers" who have each contributed a short story of something from their perspective of motherhood. In this way, the reader gets to experience many different voices from many different stages of motherhood. I really liked this, because it kept every story fresh for me. After each story is a brief bio on the author, including their blog's name, so you can decide if you'd like to read more from them.I downloaded this to my Kindle app and read it on two different devices. So when I had to wait for an appointment or had a few moments to spare, I would pull up this book and read a short story or two (and then try hard to not laugh too loud in public). I laughed a lot, at the stories that felt as though they were pulled from my own experience, at stories that I can envision playing out with my own children, and especially at stories that I hope never happen to me! So if you find yourself in need of a quick, easy laugh or too - go ahead and read I Just Want To Pee Alone.
