Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men" over this book. The author described just about every characteristic as being abusive and then didn't go into detail describing why. My favorite was when the author described family members wanting to go on vacation together as abusive. I understand that many times emotional abuse can be hard to define, but it can be done and this book does not do it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great resource for understanding Psychological AbuseBy K. McCoyAs a survivor of domestic abuse, I have read a number of great books about domestic abuse where the topic of psychological abuse was mentioned but was never the focus. In my case the verbal and physical abuse stopped with counseling, however the psychological abuse didn't.I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding psychological, verbal and/or physical abuse. Invisible Scars addresses the signs, issues of psychological abuse plus treatment options available for both victims and abusers.I also recommend this book to parent with pre-teen or teenager children. Teaching our children not to except abuse in any form may prevent them from becoming a potential victim of domestic abuse.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
