Simple, straight-forward and applicable!By MarcyI've read this book twice - once to get a sense for the illustrations needed, and again later truly for content for my own life and relationships. While Don does bring a bit of faith-based tone to his book, it is completely agnostic in its delivery of perspective on communication among close relations. I identified SO many things we are all guilty of doing, but more importantly, could take away actual tools to apply at home. I continue to use these practices, especially with my boys, so that we set the tone for respectful dialog before they reach their teen years. My husband and I pull elements from the book regularly.I highly recommend reading this. It's an easy, fast read broken down into usable, referable sections. It's written in friendly language and is universally applicable.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Lets get back respect!By CustomerWhat a great book. Respect has truly lost it's value in our society, especially within homes. This books challenges us to not only regain respect within the home, workplace and the various relationships we are involved in, but more importantly to establish self-respect in our own lives so it can be modeled to others. The author's use of a family throughout the book provides clear examples of how to change what he calls the "dance of disrespect" to a "dance of respect", in all areas of your life. I'm buying this for both my grown children as a tool for building respect in their homes and will be diligent to model it to my grandchildren, as I build my own self-respect.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great BookBy John PFamily or Business will benefit from this read. Pretty easy read, even for kids (I'd say over 15 yrs old). I literally bought 100 copies more directly from Don, the author, to give to my employees... Hopefully they like it:-)
