I found my collection of Charles Fishman's books and remembered that Dr Fishman runs a website devoted to Intenstive Structural Therapy.I jumped on to the website and discovered the recently released publication "You Can Fix Your Family". Formerly I worked as mental health social worker in a psychiatric setting. I also hold a masters of clinical family therapy. I liked this book very much. Each chapter focussed on a specific challenge and concluded with summary points."Team Family" can sometimes struggle with therapy tasks and recommended readings. Keeping it simple, succinct and specific I think will be appreciated by busy families and therapists alike.I would love to see a "You Can Fix Your Family" Workshop developed. FriedmanThis book is written for all of us who live in families and need to know what is really going on with family relationships. Fishman is an expert in family dynamics. But the book is written in short easy to understand paragraphs with LOTS of helpful advice that you can use right away. It is particularly useful for families facing challenges from divorce to eating disorders to drug addiction. But even normal families will benefit. Highly recommended.
