The pages fold down to form the letter then fold back up to look like the envelope. Most of the have a guided topic with two without topics (my hopes for you...). For me I only wish there was more without topics. That is just me. I know many will enjoy having the guides and they are good.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Such a cute idea!By staceyLove this concept, so cute! The paper is a little bit thin, so writing showed through on other side (I used a fine tip sharpie). Also, with the set up, it's a little awkward to write in unless you remove each envelope, which I think it the idea. I want to keep them all in the book, so by not tearing out the pages it's a little funny. But, really great item!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Made of good material, accurate to what is advertisedBy Emma JacksonMade of good material, accurate to what is advertised. There's not a surplus of room to write so if you have big handwriting I would recommend you size it down or type.I would buy this as a gift for a friend.
