If NVC is a total mystery to you, I'm guessing that the book is likely to be ineffective in helping you with your communication skills. For some reason I'd expected more of this book; it didn't quite meet my expectations of being effective for most people. The book is a collection of stuff with 1 - 2 page discussions of that stuff. Every item is labelled "Communication Tip xxx" many of the things under these headings are NOT communication tips. They are suggestions, scenario's, advice, etc which are probably very useful for someone with a bit of knowledge about understanding of Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication (NVC) model principles.Overall, I was kind of disappointed.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. utterly trivialBy RezensentThis book is filled with numerous utterly trivial recommendations based on NVC. The tips given are so trivial that it gets painful after a while. While the book starts with a pretty good introduction of NVC concepts, the communication tips take up most of the book. After a while, I started to dislike the book. The recommendations got more and more ridiculously short and simple. I could not make it beyond tip number 10 and I really did work on the book, created an excerpt of tips in an Excel spreadsheet. When I read the first ten tips, I thought "what?! are you kidding me?"I guess, if you are like me, you probably have some communication issues to work on. Well, this is NOT the book that will be of help.Seriously.4 of 9 people found the following review helpful.
