They always want me to color with them, but I'm not super interested in Paw Patrol or Thomas, and I don't usually want them to color in my adult coloring books. This book is the best of both worlds! I let them pick an animal, and we get to color together. My 2-year-old has been especially interested in the pages, and I've realized he's quite the artist...he just didn't want to color alone, so I never realized how good he is. We've been using colored pencils for our art. I think I'll end up ordering about six of these for friends for Christmas. I bought two, one for each of my boys. The illustrations are simple enough to color but unique enough to hang. The quality of the book itself is great. This isn't a normal coloring book, the front has a super nice almost matte feel and the paper is thicker. Each illustration has its own page so no needing to pick a side. Pages can easily be taken out. My little zoologist also loves because bunches of animals are shown from narwhals, walrus, owls, and even a unicorn. We just got it today and we already love it. The care and attention to detail put into making it is evident on each and every page. The perforated pages make it really easy to tear out the pages for parent and child to work on at the same time. I love how my son can be working on a page and I can work on my own right alongside him. The adult pages have more intricate details than the kid pages, but you can still use crayons for much of it if you're so inclined. This is a plus in my opinion because I love the look of crayon coloring. The paper used for the coloring pages is higher quality than most coloring books so it holds up really well.
