Powerful book that all parents should read!By CatI loved this author's first book, "Two Thousand Kisses" so much and refer to my well-worn copy often to recenter my gentle parenting mindset. I was very excited for this second book to come out! We have been studying gentle parenting for over a year and felt like we were getting really good at it but this book has challenged us to even deeper levels of connection and communication with our children! This book is well written- concise but worded in such a way that the points hit home deeply. Knost really challenges our culture with this manuscript, but I think that this is a culture that needs to be challenged in its thinking about child-rearing practices. This author's 25 years of experience and wisdom with her own children really shine through! This is definitely one of my favorite Christian authors!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Much needed resource for every parent!By love2BmomI began my parenting journey thinking, "My kids will never act like THOSE kids" -referring to most children I would encounter. I made my home a dictatorship- with military rule. I am so thankful for this author and her work, which is showing me daily how to raise kind, loving children, by respecting them, not just controlling them.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Most inspiring parenting book I've readBy KingsThis book was all inspiring and non-shaming. It was beautifully and poetically written. It made my heart feel good. I've been struggling containing anger with my 3 year old and this book gave me ideas and hope and even more reason. It is short and sweet. I read it in small breaks (I have 2 kids I'm currently raising by myself as husband is home 1 day a week) in less than a week. It was that springtime day in the midst of winter parenting books. Loved it and will read it again and again as I need the refreshing reminders that I can raise mychildren in a peaceful, wonderful way that will help us all feel better and ultimately make the world a better place.
