Read it twice/By JC ChristyWhere does one begin to analyze this book? This is one of the best books I have read in years. It could also be classified as a "Self Help" or "Self Healing" Book. While it was not intended to scare one's self, I must admit it did frighten me in several ways. One, by the end of the second chapter, I had tear flowing down my checks. I related to the author. I felt her pain and sorrow deep down inside of my soul. Maybe, because I too had a bad marriage and a bad divorce, but my divorce seamed trivial to the pain and agony this author went thru and is still going thru. Two, There was a time in my life and marriage that I too thought of driving off a cliff to end it all, I only wanted to make sure it looked like an accident so that my children would not know and they would be taken care of financially as I had a large insurance policy covering me. It would have taken care of them until they all reached the age of 21 or so. Like the author, who found that she did not have to resort to that, that life really was good if you keep looking for the good in the life she has left. I hope she will continue writing, and will write the next chapter in her life. I only hope and pray is will have a much happier ending for her. I am sure it will. I would buy any and all books that she publishes. I think she is a very caring and dear person to put her life in print. May god bless her and you for reading her story.JCPS. This book was not written by a professional author. It was written by someone with a heart, maybe a broken heart, but someone with a heart just the same. I will ask everyone I know that reads to purchase this book and promote it for the author.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A must read for all!By Jenni RawlinsJL Vallee shared her journey of suffering through the traumas in her life and living with PTSD. It was very empowering to share her journey and the strength it took for her to bring herself from the very depths of despair to the enlightenment of survival. We all learn that not only does PTSD not only effect soldiers, but that those of us who suffer alone, are not truly alone! Everyone can learn from this book. Whether you are a victim, perpetrator, family, or a friend of someone with PTSD, this book can help you to better understand it and how it effects your life and the life of everyone around.I applaud JL Vallee for having the strength and courage to relive her pain each day as she wrote her book and shared her journey.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful.
