Just what I neededBy MSBThis book was just what I needed at a time when I felt God leading me to work on my anger as a Mother. I love how Ms. Barnhill keeps God at the center, as without him nothing is possible. She shares some really personal struggles she has had as a mother and as a child. I felt touched to tears when she shared about her siblings and her family. She was very transparent and admitted things many Christian Mothers would never do. It was refreshing to feel a kinship not a judgmental, your doing it wrong, tone. I found great comfort while reading, like sitting with an old friend as I read. I had a true light bulb moment while reading this book and examining my own learned behaviors toward my children.This book has been a wonderful resource.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. My mom a volcano? Well, Yes!By mrsmykeI heard the author speak on a radio broadcast. She is funny, transparent, insightful, and is able to offer helpful strategies. She does not try to sugar-coat a very real problem in a multitude of households. Yet, she offers hope and help, unapologetically, from a Christian world view.Do take time to answer the questions at the end of each chapter, it is well worth it.
